1. Data We Collect

SwiftKeys collects only the details needed to provide and secure the extension. When you sign in we keep your email address, subscription entitlement, and internal identifiers so we can confirm access to premium features. We do not capture spreadsheet contents, keystrokes, or browsing history.

1.1 Account Information

Authentication is handled by Supabase. SwiftKeys retains the minimal identifiers Supabase provides for account management and support. We do not request your full name, birth date, Social Security number, or other sensitive identifiers.

1.2 Usage Metrics

We collect aggregate, de-identified analytics about how shortcuts are used so we can understand which flows matter most. These metrics never include the text or values in your spreadsheets and cannot be tied back to an individual user.

1.3 Data Minimization & Limited Use

SwiftKeys follows Google’s Limited Use requirements: we collect only the information that is strictly necessary to authenticate you, verify subscription access, process billing, and keep the service reliable. We do not reuse or repurpose personal data for unrelated features, advertising, or resale. If we ever need information beyond core functionality, we will present an in-product disclosure and obtain your consent before collecting it.

2. Payment Information

SwiftKeys uses Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe") as our payment processor. When you subscribe, we share your email address, name (if provided), and billing details with Stripe so your payment can be authorized and reconciled. SwiftKeys does not use Stripe Connect or marketplace payouts. Stripe independently gathers device, geographic, and transactional information to comply with financial regulations and to prevent fraud.

We do not sell or disclose billing data to any other third party. Stripe may securely share purchaser details with its fraud-prevention and risk-management partners during checkout to protect both you and SwiftKeys from unauthorized activity. Those evaluations are handled entirely by Stripe—we do not participate in the decision and we do not see the risk indicators Stripe or its partners generate.

Only background-checked senior team members who need it for accounting or customer support can access billing records in Stripe. SwiftKeys staff never sees your full card number or CVV; Stripe encrypts that data at entry and it is never stored on SwiftKeys systems.

If you ask us to delete your billing information, we will remove it from our internal systems and submit the same request to Stripe. Stripe may still need to retain limited records to meet legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention obligations, and information that Stripe’s security partners already processed might not be recoverable because we have no access to those systems.

3. Data Sharing & Processors

SwiftKeys only shares personal data with service providers that are essential to operating the product:

  • Supabase for authentication, secure session storage, and account management
  • Stripe for subscription billing, fraud prevention, and payment notifications

We do not use Google Analytics or advertising networks, and we do not disclose personal data to any other third parties.

4. Security Measures

All requests to and from SwiftKeys, Supabase, and Stripe are transmitted over HTTPS and encrypted in transit. Stripe encrypts payment card information at the point of entry. Access to production data is restricted to vetted senior staff using accounts secured with multi-factor authentication. We regularly review access privileges and follow industry-standard practices to protect the information we hold.

5. How We Use Data

We use your information solely to deliver SwiftKeys, improve the product, and protect your account. We never sell personal information or share it with advertisers.

5.1 Service Delivery

Your email address and subscription status let us confirm that you have access to SwiftKeys Pro, notify you about account issues, and provide support when you reach out.

5.2 Product Improvements

Aggregate usage data guides product decisions so we can optimize shortcut coverage and performance without reviewing any spreadsheet contents.

6. Your Choices & Rights

You control your data. If you deactivate your account, SwiftKeys removes associated personal information within 30 days unless a longer retention period is required by law.

6.1 Access & Deletion

Contact us to review or delete the data SwiftKeys stores about you. We will respond within 30 days and, where possible, request that Stripe erase your billing profile. Stripe or its fraud-prevention partners may retain limited records when necessary for legal compliance or security; SwiftKeys cannot access or direct those systems.

6.2 Prominent Disclosure & Consent

SwiftKeys does not collect personal or sensitive data beyond what is required to deliver the extension’s functionality. If that ever changes, we will provide an in-product disclosure that explains the data involved, the purpose for collecting it, and how you can accept or decline. You will not be opted in without clear consent.

6.3 Updates To This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. When changes are made we adjust the "Last updated" date and highlight substantive revisions in product communications or release notes.
